Throughout the planning of college Access Day it granted me with opportunity to introduce driven high school students with resources to achieve their goals. Having intimate conversations with the youth of our community exposed me to their personal experience of marginalization.

Working with SVSLI started as a class requirement, and transformed into a cause I am now deeply passionate about. Being able to help these children reach their goals has not only educated me on the injustices and barriers that they face in trying to achieve a high education, but also has now made me determined to do my part in helping to change those.
